What are the most widely used/downloaded or favorite packages for linear modeling?

I'm trying to analyze the APIs for the most widely used packages for linear modeling, but I can't find any analytics on the packages. I know the packages I like to use, but I don't want to assume my R usage is representative of the rest of the community!

Any pointers or lists of favorite packages appreciated :slight_smile:

The article describing lme4 has over 20000 citations since 2015. I reckon it is pretty popular (and I use it from time to time).
Other that I like a lot is TMB (but it is not widely used, and its functionality goes well beyond linear models...)
