We keep getting error when running R markdown file on linux when using the multicol in R markdown as described in R Markdown cookbook, the file works ok on windows environment, when we add file to run on linux server we receive the following error. illegal unit of measure . Have tried declaring the unit of measurement but this does not work.
Any help would be appreciated.
Can you check you have the same packages versions, and also Pandoc versions ?
Also, can you compare the tex file produced ?
It seem to me from error, that some content is not correct process and transforme by Pandoc. You shouldn't have ::: {.col in your LaTeX file. This will happen if the Pandoc version does not know how to handle the syntax, which means a very old Pandoc version.
