I'm new to r studio (student in a class) and after install, noticed a folder titled desktop appear in the file/folder pane. A view of this showed it was my actual desktop items. Not needing them as part of this program, I deleted the folder (thinking I was just deleting it from r studio). Unfortunately, it deleted all desktop items from my computer. A simple edit/undo did not correct this. My desktop items are not in trash, time machine, or cloud. I tried a data recovery program that did not locate any items. Is there a recovery command or anything I can do? I find it hard to believe it can delete everything from everywhere in one click. Any help is appreciated.
