I need to purchase a new laptop, so I have two questions:
- What is the best operating system for Rstudio?
- If Linux, which company should I buy from?
In general the main Linux distributions (e.g. Debian, Ubuntu) are the most hassle free but specifically which OS would be best for you will depend on your specific application.
Linux distributions are open source so no need to buy anything and the distributions are hardware independent so you can buy your laptop and decide which one to install later.
