I'm new to Rstudio and I have clicked New Project several times without getting a response. Is there some process I might have omitted while signing up? Kindly advise.

Do you mean you are using RStudio Cloud? Because the desktop version doesn't require you to sign up.
Yes sir, I was referring to the Rstudio Cloud. I apologize for not being specific.
I have actually solved the issue. I logged out and logged back it, then I was able to create a New Project.
