I have been able to create a book chapter using Bookdown and everything works fine with one exception. The problem is in the list of references. The references appear at the end of the chapter, but there is no line break between the list of references. I am rendering the output to HTML only.
I have tried everything I could think of, but no luck. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

if so would you be able to provide a reproducible example or at least gives more details on what you are doing ?
