Not possible to change R version from the interface

Hi there,

I'm setting up a new computer and installed R 3.5.1 and R 4.2.2. I've also installted RStudio 2023.03.0+386.

I used to be able to switch between versions from 'Global Options' but nothing happens when I click on the 'Change' button. I'm stuck with 4.2.2. I need 3.5.1 (32bits)

How can I make it work?

Possibly of note:
both versions were installed from the command line with the following loadinf:

[Setup]
Lang=en
Dir=C:\RVersions\R3_5_1
Group=R
NoIcons=1
SetupType=
Components=main, i386, x64, translations
Tasks=

[R]
MDISDI=MDI
HelpStyle=HTML

it looks like it works if the version numbers are added to the registry.
