I've deleted all the packages and even reinstalled RStudio but this error keeps coming up with no solution in sight after another errors that demanded for me to install the older version of rmarkdown and knitr.

Error in loadNamespace(i, c(lib.loc, .libPaths()), versionCheck = vI[[i]]) :
object 'vI' not found

Anyone having this problem as well?

Can you share example code that produces that error message?

Problem solved. I uninstalled and reinstalled everything, deleted all my packages and restarted my computer and lo and behold, my R markdown document compiled. The restart was crucial. Thanks for the support.
