On translating tidyverse documents

Japanese R lovers, including me, are discussing to start a project on translating documentations of tidyverse packages, especially vignettes, to Japanese.

Is there any requirements to get permissions?
Do we have to get permissions for each packages?
Whom do we ask for?

Also, if there is anything we should keep in mind, we'd be happy to know.

Thanks.

This would be wonderful!

No need to get permission, just make sure you respect the license of the original content (which should be straightforward). Iā€™d also appreciate it if you could make some notes about what works well in your process so they could later be shared with groups interested in translating to other languages.
