Output from R to excel with  symbol

I have recently update R to a newer version on a laptop that run a tool based on R to generate an outputs on excel files.

I am getting the error on the currency, instead of "£" there is "£".

I have tried field encoding or conversion from num to float, but the error is still there.

Any idea?
