I am facing an issue that some of you involved in teaching might have experienced. My university protects our computers by restricting access to windows admin accounts. The IT staff is overwhelmed and slow to respond to instructor requests. I find myself unable to install R packages. When IT installed R, they placed the library path in the individual document folders on the network, where users do have write access. Unfortunately, the installation of an R package there encounters an access problem.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
