Polytomous Latent Class in R

Hi All,

To date, I can only find a couple of packages capable of polytomous latent class analysis: 'poLCA' and a supplementary functions package: 'sirt.'

In both instances, the conditional independence assumption is overlooked. I wondered if anyone knew of any further LCA packages capable of handling polytomous responses, alongside the local dependency problem?

'randomLCA' by comparison, is designed to handle the local dependency problem, but only handles dichotomous responses.

Would be appreciated to hear any feedback and direction.

what makes you say that ?

"poLCA uses the assumption of conditional independence"

I should say, when I say "overlooked," I mean: it is taken for granted that it holds. Apologies for any confusion here.
