Problems installing R Studio on Macbook Pro V10.15.7

Hi All, hope everyone has made a great start to 2022!!! In readiness for uni starting in March, I am trying to download R Studio onto my Macbook Pro V10.15.7.

However, I am getting this error:

"Error reading R script (), system error 2 (No such file or directory); Unable to find libR.dylib in expected locationswithin R Home directory /Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Resources"

Has anyone seen this error before?

My computer is 10 years old, and if I can't work it out, I will have to buy a new computer, but trying to see if I can resolve before taking such draftic action!!

thanks in advance,
Ricki

RStudio is a graphical user interface to another program, R, which isn't installed on your system. You can download the pkg file here.
