Problems with installing and loading tidyverse and tidyr packages

I have a problem with installing and loading tidyverse and tidyr packages. when i try installing any of them i receive updating loaded package error. when i choose no and proceed with installation i receive error message when trying to load any of them. the error message
"Error: package or namespace load failed for ‘tidyverse’ in loadNamespace(i, c(lib.loc, .libPaths()), versionCheck = vI[[i]]):
namespace ‘rlang’ 0.4.0 is already loaded, but >= 0.4.2 is required"

I updated all packages including rlang , but the same problems persist.
what can i do ?

Can you post the whole error message just to be sure there is nothing useful left in there?
