Job Description
The R Developer Consultant has the following responsibilities and duties:

Translate SAS legacy code into R
-
Perform statistical comparison of SAS output to R output
-
Perform unit tests of R programs to meet SAS output standards
-
Review existing code and infrastructure
-
Create reusable code for later use in R
Requirements
The R Developer Consultant should have the following skills, education and experience:
Skills
Required:
-
Strong R Coding skills
-
Experience with R Markdown
-
Familiar with testthat and dplyr R packages
-
Familiar with base SAS programming
-
Familiar with SAS Macros and Reporting (PROC REPORT)
-
Experience with SQL programming (PROC SQL, R SQL or equivalent)
-
Familiar with statistical analysis methods
-
Familiar with Agile methodology and tools
-
Experience with version control systems (Bitbucket, Git, etc.)
Preferred:
-
Experience with testthat and dplyr R packages
-
Familiar with SparlyR package
-
SAS Certified Base Programmer preferred, but not required
-
Familiar with good reusable coding practices
-
Familiar with Azure cloud services
-
Comfortable working in a Linux environment
Education
Required:
- Bachelors in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, computer science, biostatistics or other related disciplines.
Preferred:
- Masters or PhD in a quantitative field such statistics, mathematics, computer science, biostatistics or other related disciplines.
Experience
- An experienced professional will have at least 2 years of professional experience in a data related role with a Masters Degree or 4 years of experience in a data related role with a Bachelors degree
