The R Developer/ Programmer uses good programming practices for statistical analyses. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of R coding best practices, experience with Rmarkdown for reports and outputs and experience with submission package requirements.

Responsibilities
- R Package development
- Advanced R programming skills
- Assist in design of R ecosystem (architecture + operating model)
- Help design a container-based approach (in Data Science workbench)
- IS infra support model (DeviS vs. DSWB vs. Nimbus)
- Assist in ensuring the MANTL framework provides a productive, reliably and validated programming enviroment for clinical analyses by statisticians
- Understand and assist in RShiny application deployment
Requirements
The R Developer/Programmer will have the following skills, experience, and education:
Required:
- Knowledge of public R packages for clinical workflows
- Knowledge of programming practices for statistical analyses
- Knowledge in all or some of the Rstudio ecosystem including IDE, R runtime, debugging, DevOps integration, package management, repository structure/policies, app publishing including use of RSConnect
Preferred:
- Good programming practices for statistical analyses
- R coding standards
- R Marketing for reports/outputs
- Submission package requirements
- Knowledge of public R packages for clinical workflows
Experience:
- 3+ years experience with web application development in RShiny
- 3+ years of experience with R coding standard practices
- 3+ years of experience with submission package requirements
- 3+ years of experience with RStudio in a professional environment, preferably in Life Sciences or Healthcare
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in statistics/biostatistics/applied math. Masters Degree preferred
