Promises with DT::datatable? need help.

Guys,
I was trying to implement promises for my app. I have a DT::datatable in my app, where I am getting errors in implementing promises, can you please help.

Below is how my application look.

some_var <- eventreactive(input$button,{validations..
                      validations..
                      hive_data_connection <- dbConnect(parameters)
                      query_results_on_input_data <- dbQuery(parameters) #multiple users interact and get multiple datasets parallely
                      return(as.data.table(query_results_on_input_data)) # contains good amount of data
}) 

output$data <- DT::renderDataTable({
                         DT::datatable(some_var, other_parameters)
})

Could you please suggest how to make this work along with promises.
Any help is appreciated.
