Protect shiny downloadHandler() with a password

Hi,

is it possible to protect the downloadHandler() function within a shiny with a password, so that a user has to type in a password after he clicked on the download button? There are barely to no ressources on the internet adressing this issues, since i thought it would be a concern to quite a few. Or do i need to write a custom function?
