R Markdown APA format unable to knit to PDF/Word/html

I use Mac. I have created a markdown file in APA format. I have all the necessary latex packages installed. If I try to knit the document without code I am able to knit to pdf/word. But when I include the code it gets stuck at 84% and then does not generate any error or file and gives the error. Need help.

if you see it is stuck at 84%.
