R Studio 3.5 errors and Reverting to previous version 3.3

Hello,

I recently installed the latest version of R on my computer, and was successfully using it for quite some time. I tried to open R Studio today on my computer and not only do I get the error messages below, but it seems that R Studio is reverting back to a previous version, 3.3. I can't seem to do anything with my R Studio like this- any help is greatly appreciated!

Firstly, just to clarify the distinction between R and RStudio (Differentiating R from RStudio)

When do these errors appear? And what version of R appears when you open just R-application (not RStudio)?
