For reasons I cannot fathom, I was working in RStudio and it said that the current version was not the same as what I had on disk. It asked me which one to keep (I chose the open one) and lo and behold, a week's worth of coding was gone! This is the second time I've done this. Rstudio, even though I save states, seems to get confused about what I have saved.
I am working on a VM with Mint. Can anyone suggest how to recover the correct version of the server.R file, as well as how to avoid this problem in the future? Thanks.
