It would just be nice if the file upload example here had examples for accepting url inputs, multiple file types and for uploading compressed data, including subsequent server-side decompression.

That would be a cool idea. Maybe a basic 'file-upload' for people just starting, and then an advanced version with the additional unzip and features you suggest.
