Rmarkdown chart displays in editor but when knit misses labels from ggrepel

Hi

I have found rmarkdown knitting erratic. After working on a document for a month it has started to miss some chart formatting options that work fine when run in the Rstudio editor.

Is there a solution?

As this is an erratic issue a reprex would be challenging. I rebooted my PC which seems to have fixed issue whereas restarting R did not. Puzzling that restarting R and starting over didnt fix it though.
