Rmarkdown PDF don't align text

I'm writing a letter and trying to align some text:

\fancyfoot[C]{Pie de página}

\hspace*{8cm} ORD N° \newline
\vspace{2mm}
\hspace*{8cm} ANTECEDENTE: No existe \newline
\vspace{2mm}

The result is this:

And centering the text:

\vspace{3mm}

Sin otro particular, saluda atentamente a Ud.,

\vspace{7mm}

\begin{center}
NOMBRE \newline
CARGO \newline
ORGANIZACIÓN
\end{center}

\vspace{4mm}

And the result is this:

For some reason the first lines do not recognise the command
