I had an old issue which was closed in August '19 regarding the incompatibility of RStudio 1.2.1335, which is here: RStudio 1.2.1335 on Ubuntu 18.04.2 with Wacom Intuos small tablet and which was never satisfactorily resolved.
Today I got round to trying out RStudio 1.2.5033, still using the same tablet as a mouse (which I need for disability reasons). The good news is, the buttons are all working and there is no crazed double-clicking problem any more. The bad news, unfortunately, is that none of the menu dropdowns from the top menu bar work at all, they don't even change colour when I click on them. I'd really like to upgrade from 1.1.463 sometime!
