RStudio, alone or within Anaconda?

I know this is probably beating a dead horse, but I have not read anything good about RStudio in the Anaconda environment. And since RStudio is becoming a Python IDE (correct?), I just don't know if i should use Anaconda with Jupyter and run RStudio separately? I'll look some more, but what is the RStudio recommendation on this?

You should be ok using Anaconda as a Python package manager. It MIGHT also work as an R package manager, but I’ve seen no reports, at least for packages involving compiling. It all depends on how deep into the weeds to disappear.
