RStudio and pandoc

Does anyone knows when RStudio will be shipped with Pandoc 2.8. Currently it uses version 2.7.2 on Windows, but this has this bug in Latex writer:

"Fix horizontal rule (#5801). We change to use 0.5pt rather than \linethickness , which apparently only ever worked “by accident” and no longer works with recent updates to texlive."

That has been corrected in the already distributed version 2.8.

I don't know when 2.8 will be bundled with RStudio but I know that you can use the version of pandoc you want by installing it and put it into the PATH. (https://pandoc.org/)
