A colleague reported a similar problem.
My laptop was recently upgraded to windows 10, and ever since then Rstudio doesn’t open properly. It just brings up a blank white window.
Uninstalling and reinstalling Rstudio and R did not help.
I held down Ctrl while starting Rstudio, and then selected “Software” under the desktop rendering option. That did the trick.
