I installed rstudio-1.3.1093-amd64.deb on Pop!_OS 20.04 (with R version 4.0.3 (2020-10-10)). I worked without issues for weeks. Several days ago RStudio got a "fatal error" when opening.
I upgraded to Pop!_OS 20.10 (kernel 5.8.0-7630-generic) with the same version of RStudio. I experienced the same issue (by the way, I use a GK208BM [GeForce 920M] with Nvidia drivers version 455.38). These are the error messages RStudio's console shows me:

Errore: 'translateCharUTF8' must be called on a CHARSXP, but got 'language'
