When running on a low spec machine it would be useful to have a lightweight RStudio Desktop version. For short time I was using emacs which is much more lightweight but RStudio is just much better.
I would kindly ask to make RStudio Desktop features optional. At least those that are more heavy. So user who doesn't need Git/Connections/Environment browser, rmarkdown preview, or many others, can simply disable those.
