After updating R 3.5 to R 3.6, I encounter the problem that "unable to connect to service "while logging into the rstudio server.
I also checked the status of Rstudio-server, it returned with Error 2.
It seems that after updating, the default setting of rstudio server should be changed as well. So what should I do?
Did you restart the server after update? Did you uninstall the old version of R after installing the new R version?
I suspect there were some R sessions alive that were still using the old installation of R, and those sessions are now failing to run.
You should also double-check that the sessions are configured to use the newly-installed version of R.
