Rstudio Server is exclusively Linux based. So say your workflow currently consists of piping different inputs and outputs through R and onto a series of Microsoft shared network drives. But the outputs aren't the final outputs, they just feed some other process, say updating an Excel spreadsheet.
If you move your interface to R out onto a Linux server you can free up local machine resources while those R scripts are running. But how do you manage the connection to those Microsoft shared network drives?
