RStudio startup error but only for one specific project

I just upgraded Rstudio to 2023.03.0+386. During my update process, I had dragged the app to "Applications" but had not realized a small box opened way off center screen asking how I wanted to handle the existing file. I opened one of my R projects and then I choose "replace", while also quitting the RSTudio instance for the project I just opened (Exact timing of the chain of these events I don't recall).

After the RStudio app finished copying, I then opened the same project and got the error below.

Attempted steps taken to fix -

1. Quit R Studio, and reinstalled the application - same issue.
2. Tried opening RStudio without a project, and with a different project, and it worked normally.
3. Tried a full restart

It sounds like that particular project setup is corrupted. After checking that your script and data files are intact and backed up, I suggest you manually delete the Proj directory and the .Proj file. Then try recreating the project by pointing to the existing directory.
