Schemaball graphs with R

Hello,

Currently working on correlation aspects and I saw some representations done using Mathlab.
It is called schemaball and when looking on the Net I only found reference to Mathlab.
I wonder if there is some plotting library which is providing this kind of graphs for R?

The statnet family of packages has object rendering of graph objects using layouts similar to what's shown in the top Google results. Any x-y data frame can be treated a node pairs and converted to graph objects. There's even ggnetwork to play nice with ggplot
