I have a site with a large number of chapters and subchapters that I am looking to move over to either blogdown or bookdown to add some extra functionality.
One of the obstacles to adopting bookdown is that it automatically generates subchapters; this will result in the chapters becoming excessively long due to the number and length of the current subchapters.
Is there a way to specify chapter and subchapters directly in bookdown? My reading suggests I can only specify the order of chapters with rmd_files, but not subchapters.
