The Relative Importance of Predictors: relaimpo Package

Dear All

I am using the package relaimpo to estimate the relative importance of variables in linear regressions. However, I got confused with relationship between standardized coefficients and relative importance. Smaller standardized coefficients can have larger relative importance and vice verse. Can you explain me the reasons some smaller standardized coefficients can have larger relative importance?
