UKDRI Imperial College - Bioinformatician in Neurogenomics lab @ UKDRI Imperial College

Paid / London, UK / full-time

Our lab has previously developed numerous bioconductor R packages including EWCE, MAGMA_Celltyping, MungeSumstats, EpiCompare, OrthoGene etc.

The position will also involve pipeline development using the NextFlow language.

Some of the work may involve R Shiny website development.

I'm looking to recruit a bioinformatician to join the Neurogenomics lab in the UK Dementia Research Institute at Imperial College London.

The official job posting is here:

The position would be ideal for a recent masters graduate in Bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, Statistics or machine learning. I'm happy to chat with more senior candidates that are interested in the position as well.

The position will involve single cell epigenetics, R package development, NF-core workflow development etc.

In the post you'll develop open source software (which looks great on your CV!) and learn best practises for software engineering in biology.

Don't worry if you don't think your experience covers all the things we're doing. If you've never used R or NextFlow but are a wizz in C, then Google can fix that. If you're a great at computer science / statistics but still new to biology, get in touch and let's chat.

You can learn more about the lab through the lab website at: https://neurogenomics.co.uk/
