Unable to start RStudio in Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS

Hi there,

I just installed R and R Studio in Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS but R studio is unable to start despite the fact that R is able to run in the terminal.

OS: Ubuntu 18.04.5 LTS
R Studio version: 1.4.1717
R version: 4.0.2

Error message:
The R session process exited with code 2.

Unable to initialize the JIT.

I've used R and R studio on mac but never used it with Linux. I tried to uninstall/install but it didst work. What should I do?
