Underline misspelled words in RStudio

I often use RStudio to generate rmarkdown reports. However, I wonder if there's a way of getting a line under a word, every time it is misspelled, without having to press the spellcheck on top. Just like you have on a mac with safari, or in Word.

I feel your pain. Edit >> Check Spelling often doesn't cut it.

Also, although I see this brought up in SO and the old support.rstudio.com site a few times, I don't think there's a good, clear feature request for this yet in github issues.
Would you mind articulating it as an RStudio IDE feature request?
