Got as of late messages like this when want to update my packages. Even I press on 'Yes' to restart R, will get Errors. Don't know what the purpose is of this.

This probably qualifies more as a workaround than a proper solution, but I avoid this issue by selecting "No" so that the packages update. After that, I run .rs.restartR() if using RStudio or Ctrl+Shift+F10 (Windows)/Cmnd+Shift+F10 (MAC) if just using R.
Find the solution.
Had to clear all objects from the workspace. After that, the error-message disappeared.
