Weird, fractured graphics in Code window when selecting text

Hi,

I'm using RStudio Version 1.2.5033 on a Lenovo Thinkpad and am experiencing some glitcy behavior when I select text to copy in the editor, or when I backspace over code and delete it. What I get is a weird fractured graphic pane inserted on top of my window that goes away very quickly. It's almost as though the intelligent code-completion algorithm in RStudio is toggling some weird graphic call.

Has anyone else noticed something like this? I'm going to go down the obvious paths of graphic driver updates and RStudio version update, but would appreciate hearing if there are other potential solutions.
