Windows 10 unresponsive after an attempt to create new project

Hi,

I have just upgraded my Rstudio into the latest version 1.3.1056, R version 4.0.1 running on Windows 10. The issue that I am having is that each time I try to create a new project, it hangs. Moreover, it caused the whole computer to slow down and crashes other software too, e.g. Chrome. After such crashes occurred, I have to restart my computer to have my computer working normally again.
Unfortunately, no crashes report that I am aware of is generated automatically.
However, this isn't the case if I opened an existing project.

I'm wondering if a similar error has ever been encountered at all.
