Corrupted R session after restart - unable to install new packages

Hi,

I am unable to install new packages, when I restart my R session, it tries to install a package then says install.packages function couldn't be found:

This is what happens when I restart R, then I am unable to install any new package:

I already tried to delete .rstudio folder but it didn't help.

I would be really thankful for any hint why this happens

Have you modified your startup files (Rprofile.site or .Rprofile)? It seems like they are executing the install command at startup.

Thanks andresrcs, I forgot I did a test in my .Rprofile.
