Different behaviour when accessed over the web by a Windows or a Mac

Hi all,

we run an app using Shiny Server on one of our own servers. This app seems to work just fine when accessed from a Windows computer, but I just got multiple Mac users complain to me that the app is greyed out on their computers.

Looking through the logs, the only difference between those who can access and those who can't, is the operating system from which they try to access the website. But I have no clue how that's even possible.

The app: http://statapps.ugent.be/dPCR/ddpcrquant/

I do see a warning related to the rgl package I believe, stating that :

Warning in rgl.init(initValue, onlyNULL) :
RGL: unable to open X11 display
Warning: 'rgl_init' failed, running with rgl.useNULL = TRUE

Could that be a reason?
Cheers
Joris

I would guess the real difference is in browsers. What browsers and versions are they using? Have they tried different browsers? Do they see any error messages in the JavaScript console?

All browsers, and turned out to be on Windows computers too. Oh foolish me :smile: Tracked it down to a firewall problem. This ridiculously stupid question will self destruct in 5 ... 4 ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...
