experimenting with packages (installed vs. source)

Hello!

When I have a source package with a tarball, sometimes I will copy it over, expand, and experiment with the code. Then I will re-build the package.

How can you do this on a package that is built via RStudio, please? I tried to build the package via R CMD build, but it doesn't like it. The package was installed from installed_github.
