How Can I Use Dark HTML Preview for GitHub Output

If I use the output bookdown::github_document2 and set html_preview: true, the HTML preview file will be light mode, not the same as the actual GitHub website for me. How can I set the HTML preview to dark mode?

There is no Github dark mode in the preview with github_document() . You would need to make a special theme using html_document() close to your Github look.

This would need to be a feature request for rmarkdown. You could even submit a PR with some change for us to review, or someone else.
