Instalation problem:

Intalation problem:
I am new in R and RStudio. I intend to use them in my econometrics class. I have installed these programs on my Dell laptop for Window and they work smootly. However I cannot start Rstudio on my HP desktop for Widows.

When I double click Rstuio shortcut I always get the following error message:
rstudio.exe-System Error
The program cant start because apl-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
I will be grateful if you can help me to overcome this problem.

what version of windows do you use please?

Most likely you are missing criticall system updates, this explains why this error happens and how to solve it.
