Is there any way to take a chapter from a forked bookdown repo and add it to your own bookdown project while making sure that the chapter will stay synced with the original.

I am having trouble asking this question effectively. Basically I want to know if there is any way to have the contents of a file you copied follow changes to the original when sitting in a repository or folder full of other files. I cannot find any good way to do this with github.
