Issues with linking SAGA GIS with R

I am kind of new in R, I just downloaded SAGA GIS (version 7.9.0) which I could not install but access the GUI. There is also an application "saga_cmd" file but does not install the software to the machine.
I run the " install.packages("Rsagacmd")" command. but this alone does not seem to create a connection to the SAGA GIS software this is not installed but siting in a file on the machine.
can anyone help me on this?
