Hello all,

When trying to install either the rstatix or sjstats package the output: namespace ‘Rcpp’ 0.12.18 is already loaded, but >= 1.0.1 is required has been returned.

I have tried to remove and reinstall the RCPP package but this does not seem to work?

Does anybody know why?

Can you make sure that you are starting from a completely fresh session? If you are using RStudio, you can press Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + F10 for that.

Usually this error means that, unsurprisingly, Rcpp is already loaded, but it might not be obvious why and when it is loaded.
